Class of 2025 End-of-the-Year, Baccalaureate & Graduation Information

This is the end of the year information for all activities pertaining to Seniors.
Please refer to this webpage and be sure to follow all directions.

In order to participate in Graduation, all academic, retreat and service hour requirements must be fulfilled.
In addition, all financial obligations must be settled with the Finance Office.

 

Senior Final Exams:

Senior Final Exams will be given during classes Monday, May 19 – Thursday, May 22, 2025.

  • Monday, May 19 – periods 7-8

  • Tuesday, May 20 – periods 5-6 (then Seniors are dismissed)

  • Wednesday, May 21 – periods 3-4 (then Seniors are dismissed)

  • Thursday, May 22 – periods 1-2 (followed by Senior festivities)

 

Lockers

All senior lockers are to be emptied by Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Anything left inside or outside the lockers after this date will be thrown away.

 

Cap and Gown Distribution

Caps and Gowns will be distributed to graduating seniors on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 in Masson Auditorium beginning at 10am. Please note the time you are to be here. Also, you may only receive your cap and gown. If someone is not able to be here at their assigned time, they are to make arrangements with the Finance Office for pickup. NO STUDENT will be given anyone else’s gown but their own.

Homerooms:

  • 1A – 10:00am

  • 2A – 10:20am

  • 3A – 10:40am

  • NHS1 – 11:00am

  • NHS2 – 11:20am

Please note, only the chords given with the cap and gown at pick up are allowed to be worn.

NO ADDITIONAL ADORNMENTS are allowed on the caps and gowns.

 

Baccalaureate and Graduation Practice

Baccalaureate and Graduation Practice will be held in Masson Auditorium and Rockne Hall on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 10am. Students should report directly to Masson Auditorium and be seated in their assigned seat NO LATER THAN 10am. Seat Assignments will be given with the caps and gowns. Attendance at practice is REQUIRED. It is NOT optional.

 

Baccalaureate and Graduation Tickets

Baccalaureate and graduation tickets will be distributed in Homerooms the week of 5/19 (or given to you at cap and gown pickup). Each senior will receive an envelope containing FOUR tickets for baccalaureate and TEN tickets for graduation. Tickets are required for admission and must be surrendered upon entering. Please return any unused tickets to the Main Office. Requests for extra tickets must be made in writing to the Mrs. Young, no later than Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Both events will be live-streamed via social media and/or our YouTube channel. Details will be posted on the school website, social media, and e-mailed to our families. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

 

Dress Code for Baccalaureate and Graduation

The dress code for graduates will be reviewed in detail at Baccalaureate and Graduation practice. Ladies must be modestly and appropriately dressed. Flip-flops and sneakers are not appropriate. Be mindful of your heel height. Gentlemen are required to wear dress pants, dress
shirt, tie, and dress shoes. Earrings are NOT permitted. All regular school dress code requirements regarding grooming (young men must be
clean-shaven)
are in effect. Remember, you are representing yourself, your family, your church, Allentown Central Catholic, and your community!                                                                                                                                                   

Baccalaureate and Graduation

Baccalaureate will be held at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Sienna on Thursday, May 29 at 7pm. Please assemble in the Walson Center
(St. John Vianney School gym) by 6pm. We will begin the procession into the church at 6:45pm. Please remember to follow the dress code.
You may sit near the people you choose for this evening. Families may park in the Allentown Fairgrounds Parking lot. Baccalaureate will fulfill your Ascension Thursday Mass obligation.

 

Graduation will be held in Rockne Hall on Friday, May 30 at 7pm. Assemble in Masson Auditorium NO LATER than 6pm for final announcements and prayer. DO NOT BE LATE! You will be seated alphabetically for this evening. The seating assignment will be given to you along with your cap and gown. We will begin the procession at 6:45pm. At the conclusion of Commencement, take your diploma case and the envelope that is on your chair in Rockne and process out.

There is LIMITED availability for special seating. It is first come, first served.
When it is full, we cannot accommodate any more special seating.

 

Please remember, there are no handicapped bathrooms.
