VIKING PRAYER CHAIN
Allentown Central Catholic's Viking Prayer Chain is a spiritual initiative to unite our Viking Family in the power of prayer and mutual love. Praying for others is an act of love that helps us to grow in selflessness. It is also a loving command of the Lord to His Church as expressed through His inspired Word: “Therefore…pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.” – James 5:16.
In the spirit of our Catholic faith, we invite anyone in our Viking Family — students, faculty, staff, alumni, benefactors, families, etc. — who feels called to submit any prayer petitions they would like. Whether specific or general, for family, friends or others, our Viking Prayer Chain is visible to all of our families on our website and in the Weekly Viking Newsletter.
We just ask that any petitions submitted be appropriate, prudent, and brief. If you are requesting prayers for a specific person — someone who is sick and/or suffering — please ask for that person’s explicit permission first before submitting their name be added to the Viking Prayer Chain. All petitions submitted will be included in our daily prayers, especially in our school Masses. We encourage everyone in our Viking Family to lift up in prayer all those on the Viking Prayer Chain.
You may submit your petitions to Fr. Isaac, ACCHS Chaplain, and Sister Mathilde DeLucy, SCC, Assistant Directory of Campus Ministry, by completing the Viking Prayer Chain Google form.
Thank you for your openness to — and consideration of — this spiritual initiative that is intended to further unite and strengthen our beloved Viking Family!
God bless always, Fr. Isaac
